Fixtures, entries and entry fees, pitch-side scores, live tables, referees, first aid and one link for parents. Built in Lancashire by an organiser. Free while in beta.
Football tournament software should do one thing well: get you through the day without a spreadsheet, a clipboard and a phone that never stops. Zokko was built by a grassroots organiser in Lancashire who'd had enough of all three. It runs in a browser, it doesn't need installing, and it's free while in beta.
Groups, pitches, game length, turnaround. Zokko turns that into fixtures and a timetable with no back-to-back games and room to breathe, and tells you if the format doesn't fit before you've invited anyone.
Share one link. Managers enter their team and pay the entry fee at the same time. No bank-transfer chasing, no "I'll sort it on the day", and a live entry list you can trust.
Pitch helpers send scores from their phones to the organiser's desk. Tables and the public link update after the organiser approves each result, so an unconfirmed score never changes the standings.
Parents and grandparents in the car park follow one public link: timetable, live scores, tables, which pitch, what time. Each coach gets a private link for team details and payments. No app, no account. The questions stop.
Referees get their pitch and their games in order. A first-aid alert from any pitch goes to the desk and the first aider at the same time, with the pitch number, and gets logged.
A team drops out at 8am. A pitch floods. You're 25 minutes behind. Zokko rebuilds the rest of the day in seconds and everyone's link updates, instead of you crossing things out in biro.
| The moment | With a spreadsheet | With Zokko |
|---|---|---|
| Team drops out the night before | Re-do the fixtures by hand, reprint, message everyone | Remove the team; the timetable rebuilds; the link updates |
| Scores coming in | Runner brings cards to the desk; tables lag by 20 minutes | Sent from the pitch; approved at the desk; tables then update for everyone |
| "What pitch are we on?" | Answered 40 times | It's on the link |
| Entry fees | Bank transfers, cash in envelopes, a list of who owes | Paid at entry; you can see who's in |
| Running late | Guess, shout, hope | Shorten remaining games; everyone's timetable moves |
| Injury on pitch 3 | Someone runs to find the first aider | Alert from the pitch to the desk and the first aider, logged |
None of this is magic. It's the admin you were already doing, done once, in one place, with everyone looking at the same version.
Zokko is for the club secretary, the age-group coach or the parent who got volunteered. It's for one-day tournaments and festivals from four teams to forty, across the FA's small-sided and full-sided formats. It works on the phone in your pocket and the laptop on the desk, and it doesn't ask managers or parents to download anything or make an account to follow the day.
It isn't a league management system, a club website builder or a payment processor with a fixture tool bolted on. If you're running a season-long league with 200 teams, there are bigger tools for that. If you're running a Sunday in May with eight pitches and a burger van, this is the one.
Zokko is free while in beta. That's the whole pricing page for now. When there's a price, it'll be simple, it'll be per tournament rather than per month, and early organisers will hear about it from me first. There's no card needed to start, and the beta terms are short enough to actually read.
A browser, your list of teams, and the shape of your day: age groups, pitches and game length. If you haven't decided those yet, the guide to organising a grassroots tournament walks through them in order, and the fixture and format page has the maths.
Zokko runs the whole day from one screen: fixtures, entries, live scores, referees, first aid and a link parents can follow. It's free while in beta, the guide walks you through it, and I'm an email away when it doesn't.
If Zokko's tournament guides and updates are useful, add us as a Preferred Source so Google can show you more from Zokko where the feature is available.
